The happiest times of my life have been spent with my children and grandchildren, sharing things I love with them (like gardening, camping, cooking, science, music and literature).
I became a single mother when my six children were ages 7, 6, 5, 4, 2, and newborn. Raising them alone was an enormous challenge, but I was very blessed with support from my family, church, and community.
When my children were older, I was lucky enough to find a job teaching a wonderful parenting program. I had a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, and I went on to take graduate classes in family life education and gifted and talented education.
I have taught parenting and lifestyle classes for various agencies in Utah for about twenty years now. I love teaching parenting more than anything else. I have seen lives change when parents change their way of looking at their children and at the job of raising children.
I now have six grandchildren, and a seventh on the way. They are the light of my life.
